Seabed coral from which marine grade coral calcium comes has dropped from the reef naturally, or is processed by reef inhabitants. Its makeup closely resembles living coral since many minerals and organic components are retained. Harvesting coral calcium in this form neither damages the living reef nor reduces its mineral and nutrient content.

Fossilized coral calcium has undergone weathering from seawaters and been washed ashore. This process literally washes away some vital nutrients.

Recommended Coral Calcium Powder Use

The recommended daily dosage of Coral Calcium Powder is dependant upon your animal's species and size. ¼ teaspoon is equivalent to a single gelatin capsule. Use the following guidelines to mix Coral Calcium Powder with food :

• Large Animals 1,000 lbs (horses, livestock, farm animals) - 1/2 teaspoon twice a day for the first 90 days. After the initial 90 days, cut back to 1/4 teaspoon twice a day. If the animal is very active or used for daily work, however, double the amounts.
• Medium Animals 500 lbs (filly) - Mix 1/4 teaspoon with food each day.
• Household Animals (cats and dogs) - Mix 1/8 teaspoon, per every 25 lbs, with food daily.
