Hydrion
pH Measure All Set
The Hydrion Measure-All pH Set is a comprehensive set for all colorimetric measurements
of pH. The set provides for the pH measurement of most types of aqueous solutions
and solid surfaces. It includes its own color standards and the means for vertifying
these standards.
It is ideal for the illustration and demonstration of the properties of acids and
bases, buffering and principles of colorimetric pH measurement. Hydrion Measure-All
pH Set can be used for pH control and measurement work without any special technical
training.
Measuring The pH Reaction
Of Solid Surfaces
Hydrion pH Pencil measure surface pH reactions more conveniently and reliably
than a glass electrode. Just mark a moist surface and compare the color with the color
chart. The pH Pencil is a wide range pencil (pH 1-11) for general surface pH measurements.
Continuous pH Measurment
By An Indicator Solution
The Hydrion Universal Indicator Solution is specially prepared to give color
changes in test solutions from pH 1.0 to pH 11.0. It is supplied in a plastic dropper
bottle and comes with a color chart that shows the actual color change for each pH
unit. For precise color matches the indicator is used at the rate of one drop for
each 4 ml. of solution. A 4 ml. capped tube is included for convenience.
pH Measurement Of Water
And Unbuffered Solutions
The Hydrion Lo Ion Kit is designed to give correct pH readings in those special
cases where indicator papers or isohydric indicator solutions may be in error by their
influence on the pH of the solution being tested. These kits are especially valuable
in ecological studies and in the measurement of the pH of raw waters and water supplies.
The kit consists of a dispenser of Lo Ion Test Paper for the pH range I to 11, a sample
tube and cap, and a specially calibrated color comparator chart.
Rapid Measurement With
pH Test Paper
Just dip and read--a color match tells you the pH in seconds! The Hydrion
D-800 test paper dispenser covers the entire range from 0.0 to 14.0 with two superior
test papers. One paper covers the range from 0 to 11 in steps of 1.0 pH unit. The
second paper has color matches for every 0.5 pH unit from 12 to 14. The two test papers
and their color charts are contained in one convenient, pocket sized, clear plastic
dispenser.
Preparation Of Standard
Buffer Solutions
Included in this set are four Chemvelopes - sealed foil packages containing
pre-weighed amounts of quick dissolving buffer powders. When the contents are dissolved
in 500 ml. (approx. 1 pint) of distilled water, the resultant solution will have the
exact pH indicated on the label. The Measure-All pH Set contains 4 Chemvelopes, one
each for pH 2.00, 4.00, 7.00 and 9.00.
Each component of the set comes in its own protective container and may be conveniently
used as a separate unit. Includes a 35-page teacher’s manual.
